Reel Canister (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides tools for saving, organizing and finding short-form video links. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the service.

Data we collect

  • Your email address for account creation and authentication.
  • Reel URLs and available metadata such as titles, captions, creators, platforms and thumbnails.
  • Canister names and the organization choices you make.
  • Subscription status, app events and basic diagnostic information.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, save and retrieve your reels, organize your library, prevent duplicates, provide subscriptions, troubleshoot the service and improve product reliability.

AI categorization may process reel titles and captions to suggest a canister. AI Search is optional and off by default. If you enable it, sanitized titles and captions and the search text you enter may be sent to OpenAI to generate semantic representations and results. Reel URLs, your email address and account identifiers are not intentionally included in AI Search indexing.

Service providers

  • Supabase provides authentication, database storage and server functions.
  • OpenAI processes content used for AI-assisted categorization and, when enabled, semantic search.
  • Apple and applicable payment providers process purchases. Reel Canister does not store full payment-card details.

Retention and your choices

Your data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may disable AI Search in Settings, delete individual reels and canisters, or delete your account and associated app data. Disabling AI Search stops new AI Search requests; it does not remove the reels stored in your library.
